Russian forces suffering same problems in Ukraine as year ago - White House

Over the year of the war against Ukraine, the Russian army has failed to tackle the key problems both on the battlefield and in the rear – even despite the constant change of military command.

That’s according to the White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby, who spoke at a briefing on February 13, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“They’re still suffering some of the same problems they were a year ago: logistics, sustainment, integration of joint fires, manpower, personnel, unit cohesion,” Kirby told reporters.

“The Russian military is still struggling.  They have not surmounted these problems,” the official noted.

He went on to comment that Russian President Vladimir Putin “continues to change generals the way I change socks.”

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the White House predicts that by the end of winter, Russia would try to exhaust the Ukrainian Army and at the same time replenish its own forces in order to be ready for a new offensive in the spring.
