War update: Ukrainian air forces launch 14 strikes on enemy positions

The Air Force of Ukraine’s Defense Forces has launched 14 strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters in the past 24 hours.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In addition, Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit three enemy personnel clusters and one Russian electronic warfare system.

Meanwhile, Russian troops launched two missile strikes and 16 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 15 times. The threat of enemy missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, no enemy offensive groupings were detected. Russian and Belarusian military units continue performing tasks within the areas bordering with Ukraine.

Russian invaders continue launching mortar and artillery strikes on the positions of Ukrainian forces, as well as settlements situated close to the contact line. Over the past day, the enemy has opened fire on the Sumy region’s Volfyne and Basivka, and the Kharkiv region’s Veterynarne and Dvorichanske.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops used tanks, mortars and artillery to attack the Kharkiv region’s Dvorichna, Synkivka, Kupiansk, Stepova, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Pishchane, Vyshneve and Cherneshchyna, the Luhansk region’s Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka and Bilohorivka; and the Donetsk region’s Ivanivka, Spirne and Rozdolivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers launched mortar and artillery strikes near such settlements as Bilohorivka, Zaliznianske, Bakhmut, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Ozarianivka, Dyliivka and Maiorsk.

In the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions, Russian troops used tanks, mortars and artillery to open fire on 18 settlements, including the Donetsk region’s Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Bohoiavlenka, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy shelled the Donetsk region’s Vremivka and Novopil, the Zaporizhzhia region’s Olhivske, Huliaipole, Staroukrainka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Stepove and Kamianske, and the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Illinka.

In the Kherson direction, Russian invaders again struck the city of Kherson with mortars and artillery.

According to the General Staff, there are more frequent cases, when the Russian mobilized soldiers attached to the 1st Army Corps of the Southern Military District refuse to take part in the offensive.

Due to huge sanitary losses among Russian invaders, a maternity home in the temporarily occupied city of Luhansk is used as a military hospital. The premises of Children’s Hospital No. 3 were also re-equipped to meet the military needs.
