Ukrainian air defenses destroy five Kalibr missiles, five Shahed drones

The Ukrainian Air Force early on February 10 shot down five Kalibr cruise missiles and five Shahed-136/131 attack drones, which the Russians planned to use to attack cities and critical infrastructure in Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force said this in a post on Telegram.

The enemy "used seven Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov and six Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles from a Russian frigate in the Black Sea." "The forces and means of the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed five Kalibr cruise missiles and five Shahed-136/131 attack drones," the report said.

The aggressors also launched a massive attack using S-300 anti-aircraft missiles fired from near Belgorod (Russia) and Tokmak (captured territory of the Zaporizhzhia region).

The Russians fired at the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions up to 35 anti-aircraft guided missiles (S-300) that cannot be destroyed in the air by air defense forces.

At around 08:30 on February 10, the Russian army launched cruise missiles from Tu-95ms strategic bombers.
