Lithuania to supply Ukraine with 36 anti-aircraft missile systems to destroy Iranian-made drones
Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas said this at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov at the Ukraine - Odesa Media Center, Ukrinform reports.
"As part of this visit, we and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, discussed further assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in particular, armaments and military training. Lithuania will continue to provide all possible assistance for Ukraine's victory. We are handing over 36 anti-aircraft missile systems that can successfully cope with drones," Anusauskas said.
He also noted that Latvia had trained 15 Ukrainian instructors and now they can work with new anti-aircraft systems.
Reznikov, in turn, said that the training of instructors is a modernization of the training of the Ukrainian military.
"This allows our Ukrainian instructors to further train a larger number of crews in handling new weapons," Reznikov said.
