Ukraine ready to deploy large group of rescuers to Turkey following quake

Ukraine is in close contact with the Turkish side to coordinate the deployment of its rescue team following today’s devastating earthquake.

That’s according to Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who posted the relevant tweet.

“Ukraine stands ready to send a large group of rescue workers to Türkiye to assist crisis response. We are working closely with the Turkish side to coordinate their deployment,” the head of Ukrainian diplomacy tweeted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, more than 900 people were killed and thousands were injured as a result of a massive earthquake that rocked the eastern part of Turkey. The disaster also affected the neighboring part of Syria where massive casualties were also reported.
