Enemy trying to expand geography of its offensive in Lyman sector – Ukraine's deputy defense minister

Fierce fighting continues in eastern Ukraine, with the Russian army making powerful attempts to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, particularly in the Lyman sector.

Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy is trying to expand the geography of its offensive in the Lyman sector. It is making powerful attempts to break through our defenses. Despite heavy losses, the Russian invaders also continue their offensive in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors," Maliar said.

According to her, in this way Russian troops are actively trying to reach the borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. However, Ukrainian soldiers defend every centimeter of land in the conditions of the enemy's superiority by the number of fighters and the number of weapons, repelling attacks and trying to hold the defense.
