Enemy shells five communities of Sumy region over past day, civilians injured

On January 31, Russian aggressors shelled five border communities of Sumy region. As a result of the shelling, civilians were injured.

The press service of the Sumy Regional Military Administration wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"During the day, the enemy shelled five territorial communities of the region: Shostka, Seredyno-Buda, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Yunakivka," the post reads.

Around 18:20, the Russians hit an enterprise in the city of Shostka with a missile. The enemy shelled the Krasnopillia community from the very morning with mortars (12 explosions were recorded and nine more two hours later). An enemy drone dropped two explosives on the territory of the Yunakivka community.

The Bilopillia community came under artillery fire (one "hit"). In addition, 11 mortar shells were fired from the territory of Russia. Mortar shelling was also recorded in the Seredyno-Buda community – four hits and then three more were recorded.

According to the regional administration, as a result of the shelling, civilians were injured and there was destruction in Shostka. In all other cases, fortunately, there were no casualties or damage.

As reported, on January 31, in the city of Shostka, Sumy region, an explosion occurred on the territory of a state-owned enterprise - presumably, it was hit by a Russian missile.
