Prigozhin performs no command functions in Wagner - military intel

That’s according to Andriy Yusov, a spokesman for the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, said on national television, Ukrinform reports.

"Prigozhin’s key function is media-related and political. He does not directly command combat units, he does not chair the headquarters. His task is (to ensure – ed.) funding," Andriy Yusov noted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the U.S. Department of State and Treasury designated PMC Wagner as a “transnational criminal organization,” which entailed a range of additional sanctions over the group’s involvement in Russia’s brutal war on Ukraine, as well as destabilization and criminal activities in Africa.
