Some 20 settlements come under enemy fire in Zaporizhzhia region, destructions reported

On January 28, 2023, Russian troops opened fire on about 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The relevant statement was made by Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“According to the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region, over the past day, the occupiers have shelled civil infrastructure near such settlements as Orikhiv, Chervone, Stepove, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Charivne, Olhivske, Malynivka, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Yurkivka, Luhivske, Temyrivka, Kamianske, Plavni, Mali Shcherbaky,” the report states.

The police received 27 reports on the damage caused by Russian attacks to civilian houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects.

Additionally, the enemy opened fire on the positions of Ukrainian defenders 126 times. For this purpose, Russian invaders used tanks, rocket and cannon artillery along the contact line.
