Over 400 victims, whose bodies were found within the Kharkiv region’s areas, liberated from Russian invaders, are remaining unidentified.

The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Ukrainian professionals continue working every day to identify the bodies of those who have fallen victims to Russian armed aggression. Despite the weather conditions, police forensic experts are completing difficult tasks to identify the civilians killed by Russian troops.

A total of 199 bodies have been identified since forensic experts started to work within the Kharkiv region’s liberated areas. The bodies were found in mass graves, on streets, in houses and mass burial sites. Among the victims, there are those Ukrainians who were tortured to death or shot dead by the Russian military.
