War update: Ukrainian forces repel enemy attacks near 12 settlements

Ukraine’s Defense Forces have repelled enemy attacks near 12 settlements in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the past 24 hours.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Over the past day, Russian troops have launched 10 missile strikes, including one on civil infrastructure in the Zaporizhzhia region. Additionally, the enemy launched 26 air strikes and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 81 times, including on civil infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region’s Ochakiv. Casualties among civilians were reported.

According to the General Staff, the threat of air and missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

Russian troops continue conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions, and holding defense in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions.

Over the past day, Ukrainian forces have repelled enemy attacks near the Luhansk region’s Bilohorivka and the Donetsk region’s Rozdolivka, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Ivanivske,  Klishchiivka, Druzhba, Vodiane, Marinka, Pobieda, Vuhledar and Prechystivka.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected.

In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops used mortars to open fire on the Chernihiv region’s Mykolaivka and the Sumy region’s Rozhkovychi and Bachivsk.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian invaders continue shelling settlements along the contact line. Over 30 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Kharkiv region’s Huriv Kozachok, Krasne, Starytsia, Okhrimivka, Varvarivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapaddne and Kupiansk.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops opened fire on over 25 settlements, namely the Kharkiv region’s Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne and Berestive, and the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske, Makiivka, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers shelled over 40 settlements, including the Donetsk region’s Spirne, Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka, Vesele, Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Maiorsk, Druzhba, Pivnichne, Zalizne and Toretsk.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops struck such settlements as Berdychi, Avdiivka, Vesele, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy opened fire on Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar and Zolota Nyva.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, over 30 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Donetsk region’s Zalizne, Illinka, Vremivka and Novopil, and the Zaporizhzhia region’s Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaipole, Staroukrainka, Charivne, Orikhiv.

In the Kherson direction, Russian invaders used MLRS, cannon artillery and mortars to attack such settlements as Zolota Nyva, Balka, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Chervonyi Maiak, Monastyrske, Tomaryne, Burhunka, Tiahynka, Komyshany and Kherson.

Over the past day, Ukrainian air forces have launched eight strikes on enemy personnel, ammunition and military equipment clusters, and one strike on a Russian air defense system position. Additionally, the Ukrainian military destroyed Russia’s Su-25 aircraft, Mi-8 helicopter and two Superkam unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit two Russian command posts, two air defense system positions and five enemy personnel clusters.
