Update on Russia’s missile attack on Dnipro: 21 civilians killed, 73 injured

The death toll in Russia’s missile strike on an apartment block in the city of Dnipro, which took place on January 14, 2023, has increased to 21.

The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Head Mykola Lukashuk on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“21 persons killed, including one child. 73 persons injured, including 14 children. 38 persons rescued, including six children,” Lukashuk wrote.

In his words, 35 civilians are now listed as missing. Rescuers continue working at the scene.

A reminder that, on January 14, 2023, a 9-storey apartment block was struck by a Russian missile in the city of Dnipro. Two sections of the building, from floor 2 to floor 9, were smashed. Seventy-two apartments were destroyed and over 230 damaged.
