Ukrainian forces repel enemy attacks on 12 settlements

In the past 24 hours, on January 11, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled the Russian invaders' attacks on the settlements of Stelmakhivka and Kreminna in the Luhansk region and Rozdolivka, Sil, Krasna Hora, Paraskoviivka, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Maiorsk, Pervomaiske and Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in its morning update on Facebook.

In the past day, the occupiers launched four missile strikes (on civilian objects in the towns of Lyman and Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region) and 23 airstrikes. In addition, they used multiple launch rocket systems 69 times in other locations.

The threat of air and missile strikes remains in place for the entire territory of Ukraine.

No enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna areas.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna areas, the enemy fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Novovasylivka and Vovkivka in the Sumy region and Huriiv Kozachok, Strilecha, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Vilcha and Novomlynsk in the Kharkiv region.

On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy shelled areas of the settlements of Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Vyshneve, Ivanivka and Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region

In the Lyman area, the enemy attacked Terny in the Kharkiv region, as well as Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske, Chervopopivka, Kreminna, Kuzmyne and Dibrova in the Luhansk region.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy used tanks, mortars and artillery to shell the areas of the settlements of Spirne, Vyimka, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka, Soledar, Krasna Hora, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, Dyliivka and Druzhba in the Donetsk region.

Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region came under attack in the Avdiivka area.

In the Novopavlivka area, the enemy targeted Vuhledar and Velyka Novosilka.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Vilne Pole in the Donetsk region, Malynivka, Zeleny Hai, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Chervone, Charivne, Bilohiria, Kamianske and Plavni in the Zaporizhzhia region and Marhanets in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

In the Kherson area, the enemy used MLRS and field artillery to attack Dudchany, Stepanivka, Antonivka and Kherson.

Near the settlement of Radensk, Kherson region, the Russian invaders built a network of trenches and dugouts using sea containers, which were previously used as a field hospital.

It is known that in the temporarily occupied Crimea, mercenaries are being recruited for the newly created private military companies Shchit (Shield) and Rusich. Former servicemen and other employees of law enforcement agencies are invited, with priority given to officers. In order to at least somehow attract interest, potential candidates are told that they will have a high salary and will allegedly not be involved in hostilities in Ukraine.

In the past day, Ukrainian Air Force aircraft launched 20 strikes on enemy concentration areas, as well as three strikes on the positions of their anti-aircraft missile systems.

On January 11, Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Ka-52 helicopter and two Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAVs.

Ukrainian rocket and artillery forces hit an enemy command post, seven military personnel concentration areas and three ammunition depots of the invaders.
