War update: Ukrainian forces repel enemy attacks near 13 settlements

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled enemy attacks near 13 settlements over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks near the Kharkiv region’s Hrianykivka, the Luhansk region’s Stelmakhivka, and the Donetsk region’s Spirne, Rozdolivka, Vesele, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Maiorsk, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Prechystivka.

Russian troops launched six missile strikes and 16 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 50 times, namely on civil infrastructure in such regions as Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kherson.

According to the General Staff, the threat of enemy missile and air attacks is persisting all over Ukraine.

In the Siverskyi direction, Russian invaders used mortars and cannon artillery to open fire on the Chernihiv region’s Senkivka, and the Sumy region’s Kucherivka, Oleksandrivka and Pokrovka.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, a total of 19 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Kharkiv region’s Sosnivka, Zelene, Vovchansk, Khatnie, Krasne, Lopan, Krasne Pershe and Dvorichna.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops shelled the Kharkiv region’s Vilshana, Orlianka and Kyslivka, and the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian occupiers opened fire on the Luhansk region’s Makiivka, Nevske and Chervonopopivka, and the Donetsk region’s Terny and Serebrianka.

In the Bakhmut direction, enemy shelling was recorded near the Donetsk region’s Yakovlivka, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Spirne, Druzhba and Paraskoviivka.

In the Avdiivka direction, such settlements as the Donetsk region’s Avdiivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Marinka and Pervomaiske came under enemy fire.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian troops shelled the Donetsk region’s Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka and Vuhledar.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, a total of 22 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Donetsk region’s Vilne Pole and Novopil, and the Zaporizhzhia region’s Olhivske, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Huliaipole, Stepove, Shcherbaky and Bilohiria.

In the Kherson direction, Russian invaders launched artillery strikes on civil  infrastructure across 12 settlements, namely Antonivka, Vesele, Respublikanets, Dniprovske, Dudchany, Mylove, Zolota Balka and Kherson. Casualties among civilians were reported.

Russian occupation troops put psychological and physical pressure on civilians within the temporarily occupied areas. About 1,500 employees at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), who refused to obtain Russian passports and sign a contract with Russia’s Rosatom, were forbidden access to the plant. Russian occupiers are seeking new workers for Zaporizhzhia NPP within the territory of Russia and preparing the housing stock for the future employees through the so-called ‘nationalization’ of apartments owned by the local residents who had fled the city.

Over the past day, Ukrainian air forces have launched 14 strikes on enemy clusters, including four strikes on air defense system positions.

Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit three Russian command posts, two missile and artillery force positions, and eight enemy personnel clusters.
