Russian shelling of Ochakiv: Number of those injured increases to eight

The number of people injured in a Russian attack on the town of Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region has increased to eight.

Hanna Zamazeyeva, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Eight people were injured, three of them were taken to Mykolaiv for treatment," Zamazeyeva wrote.

She also noted that the Ochakiv hospital suffered significant damage, 180 windows and 22 doors were broken.

Earlier, Mykolaiv regional police chief Serhiy Shaikhet reported about three injured people as a result of the attack on Ochakiv.

He added that about 50 objects – houses and apartments - were damaged by the shelling.

As reported, Russian troops shelled the town of Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region on January 9.
