Two women were killed in a Russian missile attack on a market in Shevchenkove town, Kharkiv region, on the morning of January 9.

"According to the investigation data, around 09:10 on January 9, the occupiers launched a missile attack on Shevchenkove town in Kupyansk district. An enemy missile hit the territory of a local market. Two women were killed. Three more women and a 10-year-old girl were injured," the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reports.

According to preliminary data, the settlement was fired from S-300 missile system from the territory of Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported, on the morning of January 9, Russian troops launched a missile attack on a market in the liberated Shevchenkove town, Kupyansk district. The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported seven civilians injured, including a 13-year-old child. Later it became known that one woman was killed.
