Ukrainian aircraft today launched ten strikes on Russian military personnel concentration areas, whereas Ukrainian defenders shot down three enemy helicopters.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

The enemy is conducting offensive operations in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Lyman areas. In addition, the enemy is trying to improve their tactical position in the Kupiansk sector. The Russian army is concentrating its efforts on capturing the Donetsk region within its administrative border, with no success achieved.

Throughout the day, the invaders launched one missile strike and 19 airstrikes. They also carried out more than ten attacks using multiple launch rocket systems, including on civilian infrastructure.

To maintain military discipline and prevent the spread of panic among the personnel of the invading forces operating in the Zaporizhzhia area, the enemy deployed units of the Russian Guard. It emerged that on January 5, near Chistopillia, six people who expressed the position of surrendering to the Defense Forces of Ukraine were shot.

In order to discredit the Ukrainian military leadership, the enemy is spreading disinformation about the Defense Forces of Ukraine preparing to shell the medical facilities of the Luhansk region where wounded Russian invaders are being treated.

On January 8, Ukrainian aircraft launched ten strikes on enemy concentration areas, as well as two strikes on the positions of their anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian defenders also shot down three enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, probably Orlans. In addition, the Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down three helicopters, including a Mi-24, a Ka-52 and a helicopter of an undetermined type.

Units of the rocket troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit two military personnel concentration areas and a fuel depot of the invaders.
