An anti-ship mine washed ashore by a stormy sea has been was discovered and destroyed in the Odesa region.

The Ukrainian Navy said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

"Another anti-ship mine washed ashore by a stormy sea was discovered in the Odesa region. A special demining group of the Ukrainian Navy neutralized the mine on the spot and moved it to the place of destruction where a controlled explosion was carried out," the report reads.

The Navy recalled that the coast and coastal waters remain a rather dangerous zone due to the mine threat, including during stormy weather.

As of Sunday, January 8, the enemy keeps two warships in the Black Sea, none of them armed with missiles.
