Invaders force nearly 3,000 workers at Zaporizhia NPP to obtain Russian passports

Russian troops have forced about 3,000 workers at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant to obtain Russian passports.

That’s according to a morning update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

In the past 24 hours, the enemy launched a missile strike and fired 20 volleys from multiple rocket launchers.

The threat of air and missile strikes remains in place for the entire territory of Ukraine.

The enemy focused their main efforts on attempts to capture the entire area of Donetsk region within its administrative borders. Offensive operations are underway in the Bakhmut direction.

The Defense Forces repelled attacks by the occupiers in the areas of Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, and Ozaryanivka, Soledar, Krasna Hora, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Sil, Pervomaiske, Maryinka, and Pobieda in Donetsk region.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation saw no significant changes as no signs were observed of an enemy offensive groping being formed.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy shelled the areas of Strelecha, Bochkove, Komisarove, Krasne, Zelene, Ambarne, Bohruvatka, Hatyshche, and Odradne of Kharkiv region.

Areas of more than 20 settlements were shelled in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions. Among them are Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka and Krokhmalne in Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Ploshanka, and Dibrova in Luhansk region.

Areas of more than 20 settlements were affected by enemy fire in the Bakhmut direction. In particular, these are Yakovlivka, Spirne, Berestovka, Bilogorivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, and New York of the Donetsk region.

Avdiivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region came under enemy fire in the Avdiivka direction.

In the direction of Novopavlivka, the Russians shelled Vremivka, Velika Novosilka, Vuhledar, and Paraskoviivka in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhia direction, the areas of 23 settlements were affected by Russian fire. Among them – Zelene Pole and Novopil of Donetsk region; Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Shcherbaky, and Stepove in Zaporizhia region, and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy never stopped shelling populated areas along the right bank of the Dnipro River. In particular, the civil infrastructure of Chornobayivka, Antonivka, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, and Kherson was affected. Casualties were reported among civilians.

The Russian invaders continue to put psychological and physical pressure on the civilian population of the temporarily occupied territories. In particular, in the city of Enerhodar, Zaporizhia region, the Russians forced about 3,000 workers of the Zaporizhia NPP to obtain so-called Russian passports. The Ukrainian hryvnia was taken out of circulation in town while local entrepreneurs are threatened with fines and confiscation of property for accepting the Ukrainian currency. The number of residential premises seized by the occupiers and abandoned by those forced to flee has increased significantly.

Due to the failure to achieve target numbers in the military draft campaign in Russia’s Belgorod region, the local police were involved in the effort. Officers are involved in a door-to-door IDing of the male population of conscription age and promote the idea of joining the army ranks.

During the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force struck an enemy manpower cluster, while missile and artillery troops inflicted fire damage on another four clusters, as well as two fuel depots.
