Invaders once again shell areas of Chernihiv region bordering Russia - border guards

Yesterday, January 5, the Russian occupation forces continued shelling the Ukrainian border areas. No casualties were reported.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, according to Ukrinform.

"The Semenivka community of Chernihiv region has come under enemy fire. The enemy inflicted fire damage employing mortars. Late in the evening, the enemy fired six 120mm caliber mines from the side of Lomakivka along the border of the Semenivka community. Fortunately, there were no casualties or destruction," the statement reads.

As reported, last day the Russian troops conducted offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Lyman areas and tried to improve the tactical position in the Kupiansk and Avdiivka areas, with no success.

Defense forces repelled enemy attacks near 12 settlements.
