Russians shell more than 12 settlements in Kharkiv region over past day

The Russian invaders shelled settlements in Kharkiv region with mortars and artillery on Sunday, December 25.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The areas of Strelecha, Starytsia, Zemlianka, Ustynivka, Vilkhuvatka, Chuhunivka, Novomlynsk and Kamianka settlements came under enemy mortar and artillery fire over the past day," he wrote.

Syniehubov noted that the invaders also continue intensive shelling in the Kupiansk direction. The enemy inflicted fire damage in the areas of Dvorichna, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Berestove and other settlements.

In the village of Dvorichna, the Kupiansk district, a house was damaged by Russian shelling, and a fire broke out in the territory of outbuildings on an area of 250 square meters. No casualties were reported.

According to the regional center for emergency medical aid, a 72-year-old woman with a shrapnel wound received the day before was hospitalized in Vovchansk.

As Ukrinform reported, the Russian army launched an air strike, five missile strikes and carried out more than 40 MLRS attacks on December 25.  The Ukrainian rocket and artillery forces hit nine enemy command posts, two military personnel concentration areas and two other important targets.
