Commanders of Ukraine's National Guard, State of California discuss cooperation for 2023

The commanders of the National Guard of Ukraine and the State of California have determined joint areas of work for the next year.

The press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

The commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Yuriy Lebid, held a virtual meeting with the Assistant Adjutant General of the National Guard of the State of California, Major General Matthew Beevers.

Both parties discussed the events of 2022, the beginning of Russia's full-scale armed aggression of Ukraine, the current situation on the front line, as well as the issue of U.S. assistance that will contribute to increasing the defense capabilities of the units of the National Guard of Ukraine.

"The U.S. side has been informed about the significant changes that have taken place at National Guard of Ukraine since February 24, in particular about an increase in the number of personnel and the reform of the organizational and staffing structure of operational units," the report said.
