Over 18 settlements come under enemy fire in Kharkiv region

Russian troops have used tanks, artillery and mortars to open fire on more than 18 settlements in the Kharkiv region over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, the enemy has been launching mortar and artillery strikes on such settlements as Huriv Kozachok, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Kudiivka, Hoptivka, Strilecha, Krasne, Ternova, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, and others,” Syniehubov wrote.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery near such settlements as Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Kotliarivka and Krokhmalne.

A man, 72, was killed in Russia’s artillery strike on the Kupiansk district’s village of Podoly. His wife, 74, was injured and taken to hospital in moderate condition.

Ukrainian forces also repelled an enemy attack near the Dvorichna community’s Lyman Pershyi.

A reminder that, on December 24, 2022, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck four Russian command posts, three enemy personnel clusters and one S-300 missile system. Enemy attacks were repelled near 15 settlements.
