The Russian invaders are gradually turning the temporarily occupied Mariupol into a military base.

"Occupied Mariupol is gradually being turned into a military base. A direct confirmation is that the priority for the construction of absolutely all large objects is given to the Military Construction Company, one of the official developers of the Russian defense ministry," the Centre for Strategic Communications StratCom posted on Telegram.

According to StratCom data, this company already built a huge healthcare facility during the occupation of Mariupol which was presented as a "multifunctional diagnostic center", in fact being a large military hospital, where civilian patients do not have access, except in special cases.

It is noted that this institution is easy to spot from the air – there is a huge inscription "Army of Russia" on one of the buildings.

Also, this company takes an active part in the demolition of many buildings of the 3rd and 4th microdistricts where housing for the military will be built.

"Locals who suffer at the hands of invaders get places only in a cemetery," the publication reads.

For example, StratCom informs, over the past few months, the size of the Old Crimean cemetery near Mariupol has increased several times, "because everyone who disagreed with the actions and decisions of the occupiers found their last place there."

As reported, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said that the Russians had demolished the remains of the drama theater in the temporarily captured Mariupol to hide the traces of their crimes.
