Power supply has been resumed in Kharkiv city and the region.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the Russian invaders on December 16 launched a massive missile attack on civilian and energy infrastructure. The Russians struck Kharkiv region with 10 S-300 missiles. Two more cruise missiles were intercepted by the air defense forces.

"The power was cut off in entire Kharkiv region and Kharkiv. Currently, electricity supply has been restored throughout the region and the city," Syniehubov emphasized.

He also added that the Kupiansk direction came under enemy shelling on December 16. In particular, the enemy launched attacks on the areas of Synkivka, Orlianka, Tabaivka, Berestove and Vyshneve. In addition, the invaders shelled settlements in the Kharkiv and Chuhuiv districts with artillery.

According to the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care, in Izium, a 19-year-old man received shrapnel wounds by an explosive munition in his yard. He was taken to the hospital.

As reported, on December 16 at 18:00, power engineers started works on resuming electricity supply in Kharkiv region after Russia’s massive missile attack.
