Oil refinery on fire in Russia’s Angarsk

Two people have died in a huge fire, which occurred at an oil refinery in Russia’s Angarsk on the night of December 15, 2022.

The relevant statement was made by Kommersant, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Governor of Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzyev, a fire broke out within an industrial site of Angarsk Petrochemical Company. The fire area is about 2,500 square meters.

A video, which was probably taken at the time of the incident, is being shared on the social media. The surveillance cameras spotted a strong flash of light. Local residents in Angarsk and Irkutsk heard a loud blast.
