Ukraine’s Armed Forces repel enemy attacks near 16 settlements

Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine have repelled enemy attacks near 16 settlements in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update, Ukrinform reports.

“Units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled occupiers’ attacks in the districts of Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Novoyehorivka, Makiivka, Chervonopopivka and Bilohorivka of Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Soledar, Yakovlivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Mayorsk, Avdiivka and Maryinka of Donetsk region,” the report says.

The enemy continues to focus efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Zaporizhzhia directions. In other directions, the enemy is attempting to restrain the actions of units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian objects along the entire contact line, fortifying engineering equipment of defensive lines and positions.

According to the General Staff, the Russian forces launched seven missile strikes, including five on the civilian infrastructure of Kostiantynivka city, Donetsk region, as well as 79 MLRS attacks, in particular, on the city of Kherson. Civilian casualties have been reported.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s Defense Forces eliminated about 94,760 Russian invaders from February 24 to December 12, 2022, including 620 occupiers on December 11 alone.
