Germany to send 470 generators worth EUR 19.5M to Ukraine - embassy

The Embassy of Germany in Ukraine announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The Federal Agency for Technical Assistance (THW) is providing Ukraine with 470 electricity generators of various types with a total cost of EUR 19.5 million," the report says.

As many as 150 power generators are already in Ukraine. Further shipment is planned. It is noted that a batch of generators will be sent directly to Ukraine’s Ukrenergo National Energy Company, the rest will be delivered to Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

The assistance is provided through the funding from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As Ukrinform reported, in November, Germany handed over 20 generators, 10 well pumps and a mini-excavator to Mykolaiv region to restore damaged water mains.
