Enemy units undergoing training in Belarus – General Staff

Russian units are undergoing training at the training grounds in the Republic of Belarus. This country continues to support the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, providing territory and airspace for launching missile and air strikes.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected. Discontent with the activities of the military and political leadership of Belarus is growing among soldiers of the border service and the armed forces of this country due to the threat of involving the republic in a war with Ukraine," the report says.

In the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka directions, the enemy is focusing its efforts on conducting offensive operations. In other directions, the invaders try to hold the temporarily captured territories, focus their efforts on restraining the actions of units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, equip defensive lines and positions, and conduct reconnaissance.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks near Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Bakhmut, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, Novobakhmutivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

Over the past day, the enemy launched 10 missile attacks, 33 air strikes, and 75 MLRS attacks.

The Russian missiles damaged residential buildings and other civilian objects in the cities of Kramatorsk, Kryvyi Rih, as well as the village of Stepne in Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the General Staff, there is still a threat of enemy missile strikes on the objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine.

In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy launched artillery and mortar attacks on the settlements of Hremyach in Chernihiv region and Esman, Pavlivka, Kindrativka, Zapsillia and Myropillia in Sumy region.

In the Slobozhanske direction, the enemy used tanks, mortars and barrel artillery near the settlements of Strelecha, Krasne, Ternova, Ohirtseve, Starytsia, Hatyshche, Vovchanski Khutory, Volokhivka, Chuhunivka and Kamianka in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy is conducting defensive operations. The areas of Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Pishchiane, Berestove and Pershotravneve in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region came under enemy fire.

In the Lyman direction, the occupiers shelled the districts of Makiivka, Ploshchanka and Nevske in Luhansk region, and Terniv, Yampolivka and Lyman in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka direction, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensive operations. The settlements of Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Gora, Kurdiumivka, Druzhba, Zalizne, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region were shelled by tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery.

In the Novopavlivske direction, the enemy holds the defense. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at the areas of Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva settlements in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy is trying to improve its tactical position. The invaders used tanks, mortars and artillery to shell the areas of more than 10 settlements, including  Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk region and Olhivske, Dorozhnianka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Stepove and Plavni in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy holds the defense, strengthening the grouping of troops. The invaders used artillery to shell the areas of more than 15 settlements bordering the contact line, including Osokorivka, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Antonivka, Bilogrudove in Kherson region, Kherson and Mykolaiv.
