War update: Ukrainian air forces launch five strikes on enemy positions

Ukrainian air forces have launched five strikes on enemy personnel, ammunition and military equipment clusters over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Over the past day, in violation of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war, Russian occupiers have launched a massive missile attack on civil infrastructure across Ukraine. In particular, energy facilities were hit in such regions as Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa.

Russian invaders continue shelling the positions of Ukrainian forces and settlements along the contact line. The enemy is actively using aircraft in the Donetsk region.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected. In order to keep the troops ready for deployment, the deadline for checking the combat readiness of Belarusian armed forces was extended until December 12.

In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops used mortars and cannon artillery to open fire on the Sumy region’s Buniakyne, Oleksandrivka, Loknia and Yunakivka.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russia continues to keep its troops in the border areas of the Belgorod region. The enemy used mortars and cannon artillery to open fire on the Kharkiv region’s Strilecha, Krasne, Morokhovets, Buhruvatka, Hatyshche, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha, Chuhunivka, Bolohivka and Dvorichna.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops are keeping the defense. The enemy attacked the Kharkiv region’s Vyshneve, Lyman Pershyi, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka, and the Donetsk region’s Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka, Terny, Makiivka and Vedmezhe with tanks, mortars and cannon artillery.

Russian invaders used operational-tactical and army aviation to launch strikes near Kyslivka, Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka.

In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, Russian occupiers are trying to improve the tactical position by conducting offensive actions. The enemy used the whole range of artillery pieces to open fire on 26 settlements, including the Donetsk region’s Andriivka, Verkhniokamianske, Berestovka, Bilohorivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka.

Russian invaders launched air strikes near Spirne, Verkhniokamianske, Opytne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian troops are keeping the defense. The Donetsk region’s Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar and Zolota Nyva came under enemy fire. Russian invaders launched an air strike near Vuhledar.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are keeping the defense. The enemy launched artillery strikes on over 30 settlements, namely the Donetsk region’s Vremivka and Novopil, the Kherson region’s Huliaipilske, Bilohiria, Mali Shcherbaky, Kachkarivka, Mylove, Tiahynka, Tokarivka, and the city of Kherson.

Russian troops continue to commit illegal actions against civilians in the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine. In particular, Russian occupation forces are being accommodated in detached houses in the Luhansk region’s Starobilsk.

In the Kherson region’s Olhyne, Russian invaders continue to take away agricultural stocks from local enterprises and carry them to Russia.

The robberies of detached houses in settlements located along the left bank of the Dnieper became more frequent.

Due to significant losses suffered by Russian troops in the Kherson region, cases of desertion are reported.
