Explosions have occurred at Russian military air bases in the Saratov region and near the city of Ryazan, causing damage to aircraft.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrinform, referring to Baza Telegram channel.

“According to the preliminary data, in the morning of December 5, 2022, an unknown aerial vehicle crashed into the runway of a local airport. As a result, two aircraft were damaged. Additionally, two people were injured and taken to hospital,” the report states.

According to Astra Telegram channel, an unmanned aerial vehicle crashed at the air base near the city of Engels. Two Tu-95 strategic bombers were reported damaged. Two servicemen were injured and taken to hospital.

Sirena Telegram channel reported that Engels and Saratov residents heard a loud blast around 06:00 a.m.

Additionally, according to the Russian state-run news agency, a gasoline truck exploded at the air base near Ryazan, causing a fire. As a result, three people were killed and six injured.

The local mass media reported on a loud blast heard at Dyagilevo military air base near Ryazan around 06:30 a.m. One aircraft was said to have been damaged.
