Russians hit 12 settlements in Donetsk region in past day

The Russian army shelled 12 settlements in Donetsk region over the past day, December 3.

“Law enforcement recorded 22 strikes over the past day. Avdiivka, Toretsk, Soledar, Ukrainsk, Kramatorsk, Chasiv Yar, Velyka Novosilka, Berestky, Vovchenka, Kamyanka, Pervomaiske, Karlivka were under attack,” the Donetsk Region Department of the National Police reports.

The enemy used aviation, Grad MLRS, artillery, and mortars.

Twenty-nine civilian objects were destroyed and damaged, in particular, 15 residential buildings, factory premises, buildings of a machine-building plant, tank trucks, a boiler house, a service station, tankers, a market, a shop, outbuildings, garages.

The Russians launched two airstrikes on Avdiivka. There were no reports of casualties or damage.

Four missile strikes on Kramatorsk were recorded. Enemy shells slammed into the infrastructure. According to preliminary data, no one was injured.

The Russians struck Toretsk with Grad MLRS, damaging infrastructure objects, two apartment blocks, and eight private houses. No casualties were reported.

Russian troops hit the village of Vovchenka with rocket artillery, injuring a person. Critical infrastructure facilities were destroyed.

Civilians were also injured in Soledar, Chasiv Yar, Velyka Novosilka, and Pervomaiske.

The National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Also, the police helped to evacuate 42 more people over the past day. Since the beginning of the mandatory evacuation, more than 31,860 people, including 4,780 children and 1,928 people with disabilities, have been evacuated from the region.

As reported, the Russian troops killed one civilian and injured five more in Donetsk region on December 3.
