Ukrainian troops shoot down enemy aircraft in Donetsk region

The Defense Forces of Ukraine hit two command posts, an ammunition depot and shot down an enemy aircraft in Donetsk region.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, December 3, published on Facebook.

As noted, the enemy focuses its efforts on restraining the actions of the Ukrainian troops, reinforcing its defensive lines and positions. In Avdiivka and Bakhmut directions, the invaders keep going on the offensive and actively use aviation to support ground groups.

During the day, the invaders launched two missile strikes, 10 airstrikes, and three MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements along the contact line. In particular, a civilian infrastructure object in Kramatorsk was hit with rockets.

There is still a threat of missile strikes on the energy system and critical infrastructure objects throughout the territory of Ukraine.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to hold his troops in the border areas of Russia’s Belgorod region. The areas of Odnorobivka, Strilecha, Neskuchne, Ternova, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Cherniaky, and Chuhunivka in Kharkiv region came under artillery fire.

The enemy defends itself in Kupyansk and Lyman directions. The invaders opened fire from tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery in the areas of Synkivka, Tabaivka, Berestove, and Vyshneve in Kharkiv region; Makiivka and Ploshchanka in Luhansk region.

In Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the enemy focuses its main efforts on conducting offensive operations, trying to improve its tactical position. The areas of Serebrianka, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, Opytne, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region were struck with tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery.

The enemy defends itself in Novopavlivka direction. The invaders shelled Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Zolota Niva in Donetsk region with artillery.

The enemy also holds defense in Zaporizhzhia direction. The invaders fired artillery at more than 10 settlements close to the contact line, in particular, Orikhove in Zaporizhzhia region.

In Kherson direction, the enemy defends previously captured lines, fires mortars, tube and rocket artillery at the positions of Ukrainian troops and liberated settlements of Kherson region. Kherson city and its suburbs are under permanent fire.

The enemy continues to suffer losses. On December 2, the enemy lost about 30 servicemen wounded and 14 killed as a result of a strike on an enemy cluster in the town of Starobilsk, Luhansk region.

On December 2, in Melitopol and Vasylivka districts of Zaporizhzhia region, the Russians lost more than 270 people wounded. Information about the killed is being clarified.

According to the General Staff data, during the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces launched 13 strikes on enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment clusters and hit the position of the enemy anti-aircraft missile system.

In addition, an enemy aircraft was shot down near the settlement of Pidhorodne, Donetsk region. Information about its type is being clarified.
