Seventy-six Russian projectiles fired at Sumy region over past day

On December 2, 2022, Russian invaders fired 76 mortar bombs and shells at the Sumy region’s border areas.

The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The following communities came under enemy fire: Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske, Krasnopillia and Bilopillia.

In particular, the enemy launched one mortar strike and 22 self-propelled artillery strikes on the Seredyna-Buda community. No destructions were reported.

In one of border settlements in the Krasnopillia community, the Russian military dropped an explosive device, using a quadcopter. No casualties or destructions were reported.

Additionally, Russians fired twenty-one 120-mm mortar shells at the Znob-Novhorodske community, having caused damage to local warehouse facilities in one of villages. After 07:00 p.m., the enemy opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) (six explosions) and self-propelled artillery (four explosions) on that very village. No casualties were reported.

Russian troops also fired 21 projectiles with cannon artillery at the Bilopillia community. No casualties among civilians were reported.
