Russian shelling damages power lines in four communities of Sumy region

Russian shelling has damaged power lines in four communities of the Sumy region, leaving residents of settlements without electricity.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, head of the Sumy regional military administration, said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

"Enemy shelling of the border area damaged power lines in four communities of the Sumy region. Residents of these settlements have been left without electricity," he wrote.

According to him, 2,676 households were left without electricity in the Yampil community, seven in the Hlukhiv community, 649 in the Krasnopillia community and 64 in the Bilopillia community.

Power engineers are working at the scene of damage, trying to restore the power supply as soon as possible.
