Russian troops may try to increase the number of missiles in the next barrage they might launch at Ukraine, but this means the Defense Forces will deliver a tougher response.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, on the air of a nationwide telethon, while answering the question of whether the enemy may try to deploy an even greater number of missiles than it was during previous attacks, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy is trying (to increase the number of missiles — ed.), of course, but we have seen how many of those missiles there are and which ones can potentially hit Ukraine. These are Kalibr, Kh-101, and Kh-555 missiles, of which Russia hasn’t too many. How many planes have been additionally deployed? If we are talking about 20 at the moment, each plane can carry at least eight missiles. Thus, if you multiply, it turns out that the number of aircraft is too large to count on several such strikes. Therefore, it may be more or less, in accordance with the targets that the enemy intends to strike… Therefore, we will look at how the developments go: if more missiles fly in, our reaction will be even more massive," Ihnat assured.
