Russian armed aggression affects over 1,265 children in Ukraine

A total of 431 children have been killed and over 834 injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As of November 15, 2022, over 1,265 children in Ukraine were affected by the Russian armed aggression. According to the data from juvenile prosecutors, a total of 431 children were killed and over 834 received injuries of various severity levels,” the report states.

These data are not final, as they are being investigated within the areas of hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated areas.

Currently, most casualties were recorded in the Donetsk region (422), Kharkiv region (264), Kyiv region (116), Mykolaiv region (77), Zaporizhzhia region (70), Chernihiv region (68), Luhansk region (64), Kherson region (64), and Dnipropetrovsk region (31).

According to the information received, on May 28, 2022, an 8-year-old girl was killed in Russia’s shelling of the Kherson region’s village of Myroliubivka.

On November 14, 2022, a 9-year-old boy was injured in a mine blast near the Donetsk region’s urban-type settlement of Yarova.

Additionally, on November 14, 2022, a civilian car drove over an explosive item near the Kherson region’s village of Novoraisk. Three children, aged 5 months to 5 and 10 years old, were injured.

As a result of Russia’s daily air and artillery strikes, a total of 2,719 educational institutions were damaged across Ukraine, and 332 of them were destroyed completely.
