The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already liberated 12 settlements in the Luhansk region from Russian invaders as of November 14, but fierce battles are ongoing in the region.

Serhii Haidai, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, said this on Ukraine's Freedom TV channel, Ukrinform reports.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already liberated 12 settlements in the Luhansk region from the occupiers. Biolohorivka is under constant shelling and attacks by the Russian army," Haidai said.

According to him, Ukrainian artillerymen have long-range weapons that allow them to solve problems in the rear of the enemy, which greatly facilitates the situation on the front line.

According to the regional military administration, explosions were recorded in Luhansk. "Also, the Russians are opening heavy fire on recently liberated villages, so we are trying to evacuate people from there," Haidai added.

He also noted that there are many Wagner mercenaries and partially mobilized Russian soldiers in the Luhansk region.

Earlier reports said that the Ukrainian army had regained control of the village of Makiivka in the Luhansk region.
