In a village of Kherson region liberated from the Russian invaders, law enforcement officers discovered the remains of three civilians with skull fractures.

"As part of interagency specialized investigative and operational groups, prosecutors continue to record war crimes committed by service members of the Russian army against the civilian population in the de-occupied territories of Kherson region. During another inspection of the area in a village of Beryslav district, law enforcement officers found the remains of human bodies in a cellar," the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

According to preliminary data, the remains found belong to three local residents killed during the capture of the settlement.

During the initial examination of the skeletonized corpses, the law enforcement officers found injuries in the form of skull fractures.

The remains were sent for a set of examinations, including DNA examination. Law enforcement officers take measures to establish the circumstances, witnesses and eyewitnesses of the crime.

A pre-trial investigation is ongoing within the criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported, law enforcement officers exhumed the bodies of four people killed in Russian rocket attacks in Kupyansk district of Kharkiv region.
