From a legal point of view, Iran became an accomplice in Russian aggression against Ukraine.

"We demand to strengthen sanctions. It is known that Iran was designated a state sponsor of terrorism, this is correct. Unfortunately, we have learned that from our own experience... From a legal point of view, Iran became an accomplice in Russian aggression against Ukraine as it understood that its weapons, drones are used against the civilian population," Oleksandr Merezhko, Head of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation, said during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine–Ukrinform.

He expressed hope that it will be possible to resolve the dangerous situation with the possible supply of Iranian-made ballistic missiles to Russia if we act in advance, use diplomatic channels and sanction pressure.

As reported, on October 20, the European Union expanded sanctions against Iran over its supply of kamikaze drones to Russia.

On November 5, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran had supplied drones to Russia before the start of its invasion of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Air Force almost every day repels massive Russian attacks involving Iranian drones which are used by the aggressor state against the civilian population and critical infrastructure facilities.

The U.S. State Department said that the United States was using all tools to prevent Iran from supplying weapons to the Russian Federation. The EU also announced that it would take further measures if Iran continued to supply Russia with such drones or any other military equipment, including missiles.
