Croatia will help demine the Luhansk region and the effort will take at least a decade.

Serhii Haidai, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, said this in a statement on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"️The first thing that is done after the stabilization measures in the de-occupied territories is demining. It will take us years to demine the entire region. First, we will examine the roads and the territory of critical infrastructure. Croatia has agreed to provide assistance in mine clearance, both with specialists and equipment," Haidai said.

According to him, this work will take at least ten years.

"All de-occupied settlements are subject to enemy shelling every day. We are trying to evacuate the civilian population," he added.

He emphasized that the occupiers are not going to rebuild the territories and have not prepared for the heating season.

Earlier reports said that the residents of Kreminna and Lysychansk in the Luhansk region, temporarily occupied by Russian troops, are complaining about the lack of food.
