Due to the absence of mental health checks in the Russian armed forces at the moment, both among regular conscripts and those recently called up for service as part of partial mobilization, more and more weapons fall into the hands of persons suffering from violent mental disorders.

This was reported by Guildhall referring to a source in the Ukrainian intelligence community, according to Ukrinform.

"On October 20, at the temporary deployment point of the 51st Parachute Regiment (unit 33842) of the 106th Parachute Division of the Russian army’s southern military district, stationed in the village of Kamensky Khutor, Klimovsky District of Bryansk Region (close to Orlykovka in the Novhorod-Siversky district of Ukraine’s Chernihiv region) a conscript shot his comrade-in-arms in the head, killing the latter," the report says.

"It was established that the conscript who fired the weapon had had a record in a psychiatric clinic at his place of residence. It is worth noting that this is not a single episode as such cases will only become more frequent," the intelligence source said.

As reported earlier, more than 20,000 soldiers have already been recruited to take part in the war on Ukraine.
