Not far from the Kharkiv region’s liberated village of Lyptsi, investigative officers have discovered enemy positions used by Russian invaders to open fire on the city of Kharkiv and other settlements.

The relevant statement was made by Head of Criminal Investigations Division of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region Serhii Bolvinov on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The Kharkiv region was shelled not only from the territory of Russia but also from different positions within the region during occupation. One of such positions was discovered behind Lyptsi, near the dam of Travianske Reservoir,” Bolvinov wrote.

In particular, investigative officers revealed the occupiers’ positions and headquarters located in the former recreation camp and basements in the house, where Russian soldiers used to live. They collected fingerprints, took DNA samples and seized the occupiers’ items to identify Russian war criminals.

Over four hundred 122-mm shell casings were found at the fire position. Investigative actions are underway.

This place was used by Russian invaders to shell not only Kharkiv but also other settlements, such as Tsyrkuny and Ruska Lozova.

A reminder that the Kharkiv region’s Lyptsi was liberated from Russian invaders on September 12, 2022.

In particular, on August 15, 2022, one civilian was killed and six injured in Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv, which was conducted from the temporarily occupied village of Lyptsi.
