Ukraine’s Air Force downs four out of six Russian cruise missiles and 10 drones

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down four out of six cruise missiles and 10 Shahed-136 drones launched today by the Russian army at the territory of Ukraine.

"At 12:05 on October 19, the enemy attacked Ukraine with strategic aviation from the north-eastern direction. Six Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were launched from Tu-95 and Tu-160 missile-carrying bombers," the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

It is noted that one missile was destroyed by fighter aircraft. Another one was downed by an anti-aircraft missile unit in the area of ​​responsibility of the Air Command “Center” in Kyiv region and Vinnytsia region.

Two more missiles were shot down by the air defense units of the Ground Forces in Chernihiv region.

According to the Air Force data, along with the missiles, the invaders attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones from the north, in particular from the territory of Belarus.

As of 15:30, ten loitering munitions were destroyed by the air defense units of the Air Command "Center".

As reported, 26 enemy drones and Ka-52 helicopter were destroyed during the previous two air attacks.
