Ukraine’s Armed Forces repel enemy attacks near eight settlements

In the past 24 hours, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine have repelled enemy attacks near the settlements of Torske and Spirne in the Kramatorsk direction, Berestove, Soledar and Bakhmut in the Bakhmut direction, and Maryinka, Pobyeda and Nevelske in the Avdiivka direction.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its latest operational update posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to the General Staff, the enemy is trying to hold the temporarily captured territories, focusing its efforts on attempts to disrupt the actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in certain directions, and is conducting offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

The Russian forces are shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the contact line, fortifying defensive positions in certain directions and conducting aerial reconnaissance. Violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of war, the enemy continues to attack the civilian infrastructure and civilian residential areas

Over the past day, the occupiers launched more 5 missile attacks and 23 airstrikes, more than 66 MLRS attacks.

More than 30 settlements came under enemy fire, including Nikopol and Shakhtarske in Dnipropetrovsk region; Hlushkivka in Kharkiv region; Orikhiv and Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia region; Dmytrivka in Kyiv region; Bilohirka in Kherson region and Vuhledar in Donetsk region.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly. There is still a threat of airstrikes and missile strikes, as well as the deployment of Shahed -136 drones launched from the territory of Belarus.

In other directions, the enemy used tanks, mortars, UAVs and artillery of various types to shell settlements:

in the Siverskyi direction, the enemy shelled the areas near Mykolaivka in Chernihiv region and Pokrovka in Sumy region;

in the Slobozhanske direction - the settlements of Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Starytsia, Hatyshche, Pishchane, Kamianka and Dvorichna;

in the Kramatorsk direction - Bilohorivka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novoyehorivka, Rozdolivka and Serebrianka;

in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the enemy used tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line;

in the Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy shelled more than 15 settlements, including Vuhledar, Vremivka, Paraskoviivka, Prechystivka and Shcherbaky.

More than 25 settlements along the contact line were shelled in the Southern Buh direction.
