According to official data, 75 settlements in Kherson region have already been liberated from the Russian invaders.

"According to confirmed data, 75 settlements in Kherson region have already been liberated from the Russian invaders. In October alone, the Armed Forces of Ukraine returned the blue and yellow flag to 29 settlements," Yaroslav Yanushevych, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said on the air of Suspilne.

Yanushevych called the condition of infrastructure in the de-occupied territories terrible as there are many destroyed houses, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, power lines, transformer substations, gas pipelines, water pipelines, and boiler houses. "People were left without water and electricity," he said.

One of the key problems now is the restoration of electricity supply. As noted, the process is complicated. First, explosives technicians work and only then – energy engineers.

According to the official, as of February 24, more than 19,000 people lived in the de-occupied settlements, while about 7,000 remained now.

Yanushevych noted that the population in the de-occupied territories received humanitarian aid from charitable and international organizations.

He called on the residents of the region not to return to the de-occupied settlements at this stage because the enemy was still shelling them.

As reported, mobile communications are gradually being restored, equipment and networks damaged by the Russian invaders are being repaired in the de-occupied settlements of Kherson region.
