Russians shell Sumy region with aviation, artillery, mortars, prohibited weapons

Over the past day, October 11, the Russian aggressor launched 13 strikes on the territory of Sumy region, using aircraft, mortars, artillery, and prohibited weapons.

A total of 206 explosions were recorded in Sumy region. The communities of Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske, Esman, Bilopillia, Yunakivka, and Shalyhine communities came under fire.

“The Russians launched an airstrike on a civilian agricultural enterprise of Velyka Pysarivka community. They fired 12 missiles from a helicopter that did not cross the state border of Ukraine. The town of Seredyna-Buda was struck with tube artillery, destroying several private houses, a car and power lines, cutting off power in part of the town. As of 21:00, the electricity supply was restored," Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.

The Russians fired mortars at the villages of Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorodske communities, tube artillery – at the villages of Esman and Bilopillia communities, self-propelled guns – at the territory of Yunakivka community.

Mortars were fired at the territory of Shalyhine community in the evening and illuminating shells of white color was used. In addition, MLRS fire was opened at the settlement of Khodyne, Shalyhine community.
