180 bodies found at mass burial site in Lyman, children among them

A total of 180 people were found buried at a mass burial site discovered in the Donetsk region’s Lyman, which had been liberated from Russian invaders.

The relevant statement was made by Head of Patrol Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine Yevhen Zhukov (using the call sign Marshal) on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The liberated city of Lyman in the Donetsk region. Here, a mass burial site has been discovered with 180 people buried inside,” Zhukov wrote.

In his words, entire families were found buried there. The bodies of children born in 2019-2021 are among the victims.

A reminder that 39 burial sites were reported to the police by local residents in the Donetsk region’s Lyman, liberated from Russian invaders.
