Russian armed aggression has killed 412 children in Ukraine

As a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, 412 children were killed, more than 784 children were injured.

"As of the morning of October 2, 2022, more than 1,196 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 412 children were killed, more than 784 children were injured," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

It is noted that the corresponding data are not final as work is ongoing to establish casualties in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories of Ukraine.

As noted, most children were affected in Donetsk region – 402, Kharkiv region – 246, Kyiv region – 116, Mykolaiv region – 75, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 64, Kherson region – 57, Zaporizhzhia region – 50, Dnipropetrovsk region – 29.

In particular, it is reported that on September 25, 13 children were killed near the village of Kurylivka, Kupyansk district, Kharkiv region when the enemy struck a column of civilian vehicles with people trying to evacuate.

In addition, on September 30, a 13-year-old boy was injured in the shelling of the village of Podoly, Kupyansk district, Kharkiv region.

A total of 2,562 educational institutions were damaged in the attacks of the Russian armed forces, of which 295 were completely destroyed.
