Russian invaders kill 397 children in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression, Russian troops have killed 397 children in Ukraine.

The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

“As of the morning of September 30, a total of 1,177 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression. According to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 397 children were killed and more than 780 received injuries of various degrees of severity,” the report says.

It is noted that these figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region - 402, Kharkiv region - 232, Kyiv region - 116, Mykolaiv region - 73, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 64, Kherson region - 55, Zaporizhzhia region – 47, and Dnipropetrovsk region – 29.

According to the PGO, another child was killed in Russian missile strike on Dnipro on September 29.

On the same day, a 16-year-old boy was injured in enemy shelling in Mykolaiv.

In addition, regular air strikes and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas by the Russian armed forces damaged 2,562 educational institutions. Of which, 295 were completely destroyed.
